Want to extend your bottom time and make the best of your dives? Enriched Air, often simply referred to as Nitrox, is breathing gas that has a higher concentration of oxygen. The higher oxygen content means that divers have longer no decompression limits. Also, though it has yet to be proven, nitrox is suspected to help relieve fatigue in divers that often comes from extended exposures to nitrogen that comes from breathing compressed air. Also, Enriched Air Diver is one of the few specialty courses that PADI offers that do not require open water dives.
The Enriched Air Diver course teaches students about the process by which diving with higher percentages of oxygen and lower nitrogen can increase diver’s bottom time. Divers will also learn about how to manage the risks of diving with higher concentrations of oxygen. Also, students will learn to analyze the contents of their tank and how to manipulate their dive computers to safely dive with nitrox.
Start anytime through the e-Learning link. Once you finish the e-Learning you will need to schedule an appointment at Pan Aqua Diving. Here you will see our partial pressure blending system, analyze Enriched Air tanks, plan dives using a computer, take a short quiz, and receive your certification.
Students must be Open Water Diver certified and be at least 12 years of age.
Course using e-Learning: $199 (includes e-learning and private evaluation). Recieve $50 off the purchase of a dive computer when you complete the certification. Call to schedule your in store evaluation once you complete the eLearning.
