Dry suits are designed to keep you warm during dives of longer duration or in colder water. Diving a dry suit requires a different approach to weighting, buoyancy control, and gear maintenance and repair.
Divers complete tthe knowledge development with PADI eLearning prior to diving at Dutch Springs. We also conduct an orientation, dry suit fitting and pool session at Pan Aqua prior to heading out to Dutch Springs to complete the two required dives.
Open Water Dives
To complete the certification, divers must participate in two open water dives to demonstrate the skills covered in the academics. We will complete the skill orientation and dives at Dutch Springs.
Aside from personal gear (mask, fins, boots, and snorkel) and basic scuba gear (BC, regulators, dive computer), students will need a dry suit and a dry suit inflator hose to be attached to the regulator. We have a wide selection of dry suit sizes to fit our students.
Divers must be at least Open Water certified.
The $550 fee includes the eLearning, pool session, dry suit, Pan Aqua instructor, entrance fees to Dutch Springs, dry suit, tanks and wieghts. Transportation in a van/bus is available for $75.
